Los Angeles Wedding Photography Tom Keene The Affordable Wedding Photographer
The Bel Air Bay Club is one of Los Angeles' wedding venue landmarks. Not many venues have a history dating back to 1927 so this club has almost a 100 year history. The property is a combination of an upper and lower section. Built for the purpose of being able to view the coastline, the upper club is where your wedding will take place on an amazingly well kept lawn facing the ocean.
The parking for the venue is quite generous. Your ceremony can support from 50 to over 300 guests on a very large lawn with amazing views. The reception area is a large angled room with a nice sized dance floor in the middle of these two main areas. On their site is a great image of the floor plan. Abundant windows allow for a great view of the setting sun and an outdoor and indoor bar allow for your guests to be serviced quickly while enjoying their drinks.
We only saw one concern and it may not have been the norm for the venue. We fully believe the DJ should be located facing the main window, allowing for the couple to look back into the room. Unless you use some kind of backdrop behind the couple's table you are forced to see the rooms AC/heater controls right behind your heads.. Plus, we felt the beautiful windows were cluttered with the DJ set up.
Located between Santa Monica and Malibu, the Bel Air Bay Club is well situated for your guests to access it from PCH.
Despite the costs of a location like this for your wedding we are by far a very affordable wedding photographer based on our 20 years of experience.
