The Bahia Resort in San Diego is a fantastic location and provides at least two options for your ceremony/reception combination. Not only can you stay on the property, it's a hotel, but you can also take a large boat out in the bay.
Get married in one of two areas on the property. You can choose either a sandy beach or a green lawn gazebo area and for the reception there is a large room on the top floor of the hotel or take cruise out on the bay.
Bay Beach Ceremony can support up to 500 guests according to their site. I have never seen on this big but it is certainly easily able to have 150 guests. Cool weather as the sun sets is most common, hey it's San Diego.
Tropical Gazebo Ceremony can support around 200 guests. Behind the gazebo is pond that is filled with duck and other water fowl as well as fountains that work their way back from this area to some cabana rooms. It is a nice location and will keep your guests in the shade.
There are no less than 6 reception locations that include the Mission Bay Ballroom with a listed capacity of 500 guests. The largest I have seen in that room was closer to 180 and it felt roomy for sure. They even have a Palm Terrace that allows for smaller groups and it is outside as well.
Lastly, there are two bay boats that can support 90- 200 guests. These boats sail on the bay for 4 hours. Your reception is likely going to take place after sundown so don't be surprised of a darker look in the boats as compared to what is shown on their site.
Overall, the pricing for Bahia Resorts is very competitive and are much lower than I would expect.
