Ceremony and Reception - Azusa Women's Club

Julian and I, started with the bride at her hotel, Home2 in Azusa. Upon arrival it was the normal hectic last minute touches being applied and us trying to figure out where to hang her dress for some unobstructed photos.
Hillary looked amazing
The bride was taking it in stride as her bridesmaids were busy getting ready as well.
The details
So we went on our way to get some other detail shots while they were finishing. Julian found the perfectly lit area on the bed to do it. I had already shot the shoes and rings in the hotel's elevator area, but I agree, this looked better.
And now the fun starts
The final touches were complete so we got back to finishing up at the hotel with the bride. We got all the bridesmaids and the bride on the hotel bed and did a few cut photos there, even though, one of the bridesmaids were missing. I won't say which one it was so...
Not an easy task with those beautiful nails.
For the grooms out there, not related to this couple, but guys, make sure you get your nails done the day before too. Anyway, Hillary finished up and we were out the door.
A dear friend
Now it does occur over time that I am able to capture the lives of my clients repeatedly. The stepmom of the groom used to be one of my team when I was a store manager at Circuit City in Long Beach and I shot her and her husband's wedding some 12 years ago too. It was great to hear her say, "Tom Keene." Her stepson was just a young kid then.
Now, look at him!
He is all grown up and about to be married. But first, we needed to do a rehearsal and a first look. It was a great thing to have done a rehearsal. They originally came in like the place was on fire, but it was nice to see they took my advice and slowed down and came in at a pace that I could catch more then a shoulder and an elbow.
I nearly blew the surprise because I couldn't stop laughing.
The groomsmen decided to pull a little prank. Honestly, I have not see this in over 15 years. But it is a classic move. During the first look, we set up to have him stand in as the bride and catch his reaction, thinking he is about to see his bride for the first time. And he got this instead.
And on that, we will let you go see the whole event yourself. Thank you Hillary and Austin for being great on your wedding day. Arlyne and Tom, it was fantastic to see you both again as well. Let's not take so long to see each other again!
