Pasadena's City Hall is one of the most visited locations for weddings, portrait shoots, engagement photos or moments like these, your daughter's quiceneara.
Permits are required to shoot here. No one ever pays the city of Pasadena and surprisingly they don't seem to enforce it, luckily.
The grounds of City Hall are always well kept. From the west entrance you will see the grandeur of this historical landmark. The inner garden area is a dirt floor so be ready to walk in it for some of your memories. The rest of the hall are concrete and include 4 grand staircases and a long cat walk.
Each time we capture an event here, we use similar locations but we are always looking for unique moments and due to its popularity, we are often forced to go corners we might not normally use and this is what makes it fun every time.
Parking at this location can be tough so be patient. There is metered parking all around City Hall but if you come on Sunday parking is free.
Pasadena does not hold civil ceremonies like the Santa Barbara Courthouse does. You can however apply for your marriage license. You can also use the location for a private event.
